About Casa Sol

Children who are born with HIV/aids miss out on all levels. They often have no parents and therefore miss a home life. In addition, they suffer from a serious illness. Because of the nature of their disease they have to deal with discrimination and stigmatization. They are not eligible for adoption and insurance companies do not want to insure them. They form a group that is left out and forgotten.

The children who end up in Casa Sol are lucky. Here they find a warm, loving environment where they receive the care they need. They get their medicines on time, they are accompanied on their frequent visits to the hospital and they are able to attend school in the near surroundings. Above all, they are able to ‘simply’ be a child.
