Start to Share is a Dutch foundation, established in 2007. Start to Share wants to contribute to the improvement of living conditions for children with HIV/aids. The first project Start to Share is actively involved with is Casa Sol in Lisbon, Portugal.
Casa Sol
Casa Sol is the name of a home in Lisbon, Portugal. It is home to twenty children who were born with HIV. Most of these children are now orphans. The children who do still have parents, have no home. The parent(s) are too sick, addicted or they are in prostitution. Casa Sol only receives minimal financial means from the Portuguese government. The continued existence of Casa Sol depends on external support.
Turning the house into a HOME!
In August 2007 Start to Share has worked on the renovation of Casa Sol with a group of volunteers from Holland, Portugal and other countries. Read more about this campaign. See pictures! or watch a diashow on http://www.flickr.com/photos/starttoshare/sets/72157602032603500.
Share with us!
Start to Share invites people to share with others – in any shape or form. This could be a donation, but also any other initiatives you may have to support our project are very welcome. For example sharing your talent or network. Be inspired by examples of people who share!
Our motto is: ‘Show you care. Start to share!’
